Catalog work without sending the shoot
Product photography often includes unreleased goods and retailer NDAs. nobg keeps the frame in RAM, cuts with BiRefNet-Lite, and lets you punch mesh or restore a specular highlight that the model treated as background. Export original size for Amazon, Shopify, eBay, or your own PDP.
Hard objects are the easy case
Boxes and bottles usually matte cleanly. Spend the extra minute on holes: mug handles, sandal straps, woven bags.
Glass and liquid
Perfume and jars need alpha, not a hard path. Check the silhouette view. If the liquid vanishes, restore it.
One lighting setup, many SKUs
There is no metered batch API, but the studio queue accepts several files so you can walk a tabletop set without reloading the model.
From tabletop to transparent
Shoot once. Cut locally. Reuse the PNG everywhere.
Light the product, not the room
A plain backdrop still helps the model. You do not need a cyclorama.
Run the cut, then zoom
Look at contact shadows you may want to drop or keep. Restore labels if a wrap was treated as background.
Transparent or studio color
PNG for design. White plate for marketplaces. Custom backdrop if you already have a scene.
Inspect cutout edges

Frequently asked questions
Can I do a whole catalog?▼
Drop several files into the studio queue. There is no server-side thousand-image API. For that, a cloud tool is the honest choice.
Apparel on a hanger?▼
Works. Ghost mannequin is not automatic - you still photograph the garment. The remover only drops the room.
Jewelry and tiny chains?▼
Fine links may need the restore brush. Zoom in. This is the same failure mode every AI cutter has.
Who owns the cutout?▼
You do, for photos you have the right to use. nobg never stores the file.
